Audison TH K2 II A Coro 2-way System with Woofer and Tweeter Thesis series

2-way system Thesis series composed of a pair of TH 6.5 II Sax woofers and a pair of TH 1.5 II Violino tweeters. The TH K2 II A Coro is designed to transfer the precious musical message of Thesis electronics with absolute fidelity, with the ambition to be absolutely transparent, leaving room only for the emotion evoked by music. The search for the best acoustic result was based on overcoming the intrinsic limitations of traditional speakers.

Through finite element simulation software (FEM) conceived by the Audison research and development team, a mathematical model was developed that was used to create, with intensive prototyping activity, the ideal transducer. The versatility of the TH 1.5 II and TH 6.5 II allows the user to set the crossover cutoff in a very wide range, based on their preferences. This is possible thanks to the exceptional extension of the tweeter's frequency response towards mid frequencies (800 - 22 kHz) and the very regular response of the woofer at mid-high frequencies (up to 4 kHz). Thanks to this versatility we designed two crossover cutoff options.

TH 1.5 II Violino tweeter

34 mm single layer CCAW voice coil that combines lightness, stability at lower frequencies and total absence of musical transients.
Extremely powerful N38 "H-grade" neodymium magnet capable of producing 1.67 T * m in the magnetic space for excellent dynamic response and very low distortion across the entire frequency range.
Exclusive air loading system with resulting resonance frequency lower 800 Hz, for filter setting starting from 1.5 kHz - 12 dB/oct.
38 mm natural silk dome optimized with extensive material characterization, laser vibrometer scanning and finite element analysis for smooth and extended response.
Frequency response up to 26 kHz optimized for off-axis installation.
TH 1.5 II Violino tuning system with two types of electroacoustic load: bottom or lower disc based on the objectives of highest performance and flexibility of integration in the car.
