Dynamat Xtreme Door Kit is a kit specifically designed for soundproofing car doors and improving the acoustic behavior of door panels. It uses Dynamat Xtreme technology based on butyl and aluminum to reduce vibrations, resonances and structural noise generated during driving or speaker operation.


The package contains 4 pre-sized sheets designed to treat two standard doors, making it particularly suitable for car audio upgrades and interventions to improve cabin acoustic comfort.

How vibration damping material for doors works and what it is for

Car doors are among the surfaces most subject to vibrations and resonances. During driving or during woofer operation, the sheet metal tends to flex and vibrate, dispersing acoustic energy and generating unwanted noise.

Dynamat Xtreme uses CLD (Constrained Layer Damping) technology:

  • high density butyl layer
  • pure aluminum foil
  • permanent adhesive with high strength
  • The material converts part of the vibrational energy into heat, reducing the surface's ability to resonate.

Application on doors allows you to:

  • reduce sheet metal vibration
  • decrease road noise and resonances
  • improve acoustic comfort
  • stiffen the door panel
  • improve the response of woofers installed in the door

In car audio it is normally applied to both the external sheet metal and the internal door partition to obtain a more stable and acoustically controlled structure.

When to use it, where to apply it and how to install it

Xtreme Door Kit is specifically designed for treating car doors.

  • SQ and SPL installations

The package contains material sufficient for two standard complete doors or localized treatments on multiple door panels.

Installation

Procedure:

  1. remove the door panel
  2. thoroughly clean the metal surface
  3. cut and shape the material
  4. apply the sheet following the sheet metal ribs
  5. press with roller to eliminate air bubbles

To obtain maximum result it is recommended to treat:

  • external sheet metal behind the woofer
  • internal door partition

To facilitate installation Dynamat recommends using DynaRoller rollers. An application temperature above 15°C is also recommended to improve adhesion and workability of the material.
