Hertz MPK 1650.3 PROi 2-way Kit from the Mille Pro line with woofer MP 165P.3, tweeter MP 2.3 and crossover MPCX 165.3

The MPK 1650.3 stands at the top of the Mille PRO 2-way systems. The 28 mm diameter MP 28.3 tweeter used in this system inherits all the technological characteristics of the ML 28.3 Mille Legend. The geometry of the Tetolon dome maximizes the typical off-axis listening dispersion. The rear acoustic chamber with damping material helps extend the response towards lower frequencies, obtaining a resonance frequency of just 900 Hz. In this way it is possible to move down the crossover point between tweeter and woofer, favoring the acoustic image in the cabin.

The imposing Neodymium magnetic assembly minimizes non-linearities and manages musical transients with the correct dynamics. The CCAW copper-coated aluminum wire coil imparts particular lightness and rigidity to the mobile assembly. These technological elements interact together to achieve an extension in the very high range of 28 kHz, a record for a tweeter with a 28 mm coil. An elegant and compact angled support bracket for the tweeter is included in the system packaging: this allows easy installation both on the door pillar and on the car's dashboard. The correct angulation of the tweeter favors the development in the cabin of a wide stereophonic image, fundamental for engaging listening.

Tweeter MP 28.3:

Dual neodymium magnet optimized with FEA simulations, for maximum field symmetry and exceptional transfer efficiency.
Tetolon fiber dome optimized with FEA simulations, for excellent dynamics and angular dispersion.
Larger rear chamber, to reduce Fs down to 900 Hz.
Non-woven sound-absorbing material in natural fiber, for better damping and more natural acoustic emission.

Woofer MP 165P.3:

Nominal impedance of 3 ohms to take full advantage of the amplifier's power.
Mobile pure copper coil 14 mm in height wound on a polyamide structure, for exceptional power handling.
95 mm diameter magnet to maximize control over the entire excursion.

Two-position "Hi-Contour" control, to select the tweeter hi-pass crossover point based on the tweeter position/angle towards the listener.
Three terminals for tweeter level adjustment with 2 dB increments, to precisely adjust the transducer output
Bi-metallized 160 V polyester film capacitors of the highest quality, with ultra-low DF, for maximum sound transparency and clarity of midrange and high frequencies.
Air-wound inductors built on pure copper wire with diameter up to 1 mm, to reduce losses on the woofer section, where high transient currents are required
High-power Wirewound resistors, to guarantee performance stability even at high operating temperatures. The Wirewound structure ensures low series parasitic inductance, thus reducing losses at high temperatures.
