Hertz MPK 163.3 Three-way Kit Mille Pro Series with 165mm woofer MP165.3, 70mm midrange MP 70.3, 25 mm tweeter MP 25.3 and dedicated crossover MPCX 3.3.

The three-way system Hertz MPK 163.3 is dedicated to those who want the best: the midrange MP 70.3, with dual Neodymium magnet inside the voice coil, produces an enchanting midrange, perfect to be paired with the powerful mid-bass of the woofer MP 165.3 and the detailed high range of the tweeter MP25.3. The 20 mm voice coil of the MP 70.3 maximizes dynamics, the V-cone® profile improves off-axis dispersion and the Boundary Free Surround suspension allows it to achieve greater bass extension. The dedicated MPCX 3.3 crossover has optimized crossover points to exploit the remarkable extension of the midrange using ultra-selected components.



The Kit consists of:

Tweeter MP 25.3:

  • Soft dome in Tetolon fiber, for a natural and at the same time detailed reproduction of musical nuances.
  • "Center Tuning Duct" geometry, for a lower resonance frequency and reduced harmonic distortion.
  • Neodymium magnet with high-density magnetic flux, optimized for maximum control during high-energy dynamic transients in the mid-high frequency range.
  • 25 mm voice coil cooled with ferrofluid.
  • Rear chamber filled with selected and sized damping material for a lower Fs, to ensure a well-damped roll-off of the high frequencies, allowing a low crossover point for the cut-off frequency.
  • Faceplate geometry optimized with FEM (Finite Element Modeling) technique for high linearity with off-axis installations.
  • Wide variety of installation accessories, for easy integration in pre-installation.

Midrange MP 70.3:

  • Dual symmetric Neodymium magnet structure developed with FEM (Finite Element Modeling) simulations, for superior control and dynamics.
  • 20 mm dual-layer voice coil in CCAW wound on a Polyamide former with 8 decompression holes, for exceptional power handling and compression-free reproduction.
  • Exponential V-cone® profile in pressed paper with cotton fibers to combine stiffness and lightness for extended frequency response. Cone profile geometrically optimized for maximum linearity and dispersion in the midrange frequency range.
  • "Boundary Free" surround in rubber, for better efficiency and extended mid-bass frequencies.
  • Rubber anti-vibration magnet cover, to dampen spurious vibrations, removable to adapt in case of installations with limited depth.
  • Aluminum alloy basket with low depth, acoustically transparent with elegant diamond cut and characterized by the Hertz logo in aluminum.
  • Metal grille with Hertz logo in aluminum for full protection and internal grille with attractive look and mineral powder coating are included for the various installation combinations.

Woofer MP 165.3

  • Pure copper voice coil wound on a Polyamide former for high power handling together with low voice intermodulation.
  • Exponential V-cone® profile in pressed paper with cotton fibers to combine stiffness and lightness for extended frequency response. Cone profile geometrically optimized for maximum linearity and dispersion in the midrange frequency range.
  • "Boundary Free" surround in rubber, for better efficiency and extended mid-bass frequencies.
  • Ferrite magnet with high-density flux combined with low carbon content pole plates, for lower distortion at high power levels.
  • Aluminum alloy basket with low depth, acoustically transparent with elegant diamond cut and characterized by the Hertz logo in aluminum.
  • Metal grille with Hertz logo in aluminum for full protection and internal grille with attractive look and mineral powder coating are included for the various installation combinations.

Crossover MPCX 3.3

  • Two-position switch (0 / +2 dB) to adjust the tweeter and midrange level and optimize the transducer output based on their installation position.
  • 100 V bi-metallized capacitors with polyester film of very high quality with an ultra-low DF value, for maximum sound transparency and clear high frequencies.
  • Pure copper coils 1 mm in diameter with low series resistance for lower dissipation losses in the woofer section where high current transients are required.
  • Compact design for the benefit of installation simplicity, with ventilation grid on the top side that allows efficient heat dissipation.
