DynaCore is a thermal acoustic panel designed for sound absorption and heat reduction in cavities and internal surfaces. Unlike traditional damping materials, it does not act on sheet metal vibrations, but on acoustic and thermal energy within compartments, panels and technical areas. It is a lightweight, flexible and compressible material, designed for automotive, marine and industrial applications where noise and temperature control in enclosed or semi-open spaces is necessary.

How a thermal acoustic panel works and what it is for

Noise inside a vehicle does not come only from the vibrations of surfaces, but also from the propagation of sound waves in empty spaces and cavities. DynaCore is made of black-based technical fiber designed for:

absorbing sound waves, especially at low frequency
dissipating acoustic energy inside cavities
reducing internal panel reverberation
contributing to thermal insulation

The fibrous structure allows trapping sound energy and converting it to heat, reducing internal sound reflection. The material maintains thermal stability and performance over a wide temperature range, making it suitable even for compartments subject to significant thermal fluctuation.

When to use it, where to apply it and how to install it

DynaCore is designed for applications in cavities and internal areas where acoustic reflections or thermal buildup occur. Typical applications:

engine bay (covers and bulkheads)
doors and internal panels
trunks and rear cavities
internal wheel arches
generators and compressors
boats and marine technical compartments
campers and recreational vehicles
equipment enclosures and technical cabinets

It is particularly effective if used over a damping layer such as Dynamat Xtreme.

Installation

The panel can be cut and adapted to the shape of the surface. Procedure:

measure and cut the material to the desired shape
clean the surface from dust and residues
apply the panel in cavities or on internal surfaces
press to ensure uniform contact

The material can be installed in combination with other layers to create multilayer systems (damping + absorption + barrier).

Variants and thicknesses

DynaCore is available in two main thicknesses:

DYN11901 1/2" (approximately 12 mm) - standard use, cavities, panels, doors
DYN11902 1" (approximately 25 mm) - more demanding applications, greater absorption and insulation

Both versions maintain the same basic properties, varying mainly in absorption capacity and occupied volume.
