HIFONICS ZXE10S4 subwoofer 25cm, RMS power 250 Watt, uncompressed paper cone

At the heart of HiFonics ZEUS EVOLUTION woofers work powerful Y35 magnet drivers with a diameter of 140 mm, which drive large 64 mm voice coils. The latter are ventilated with air intakes for the pole core that are thermally ideal. Furthermore, the so-called "bumped" T-plates guarantee an even longer stroke, which reaches up to +/- 17 mm (X-Max).

While pressed paper cones are usually used in budget woofers, ZXE woofers rely on expensive hand-made paper cones sewn with double stitching at the edges, known for their excellent sound. All these ingredients give ZXE subwoofers an extremely good efficiency level, equal to 92 or 90 dB at 2.83 volt/1m. Even with a small power amplifier, these subwoofers already generate high volumes. The Thiele-Small parameters are designed so that ZXE woofers can be used to build powerful ported enclosures with decent depth and also medium-sized sealed cabinets. Free air applications are also possible.

From an aesthetic point of view, the Zeus bass speakers do justice to the HF style: a newly molded gasket, the blue magnetic coating typical of HiFonics and the blue stitching of the cone surround proudly display the HiFonics brand insignia.
