Clarion Full Digital Sound Innovation

Full Digital Sound technology is able to transfer the signal from the source to the speakers in a completely digital way, thus reproducing high resolution files without degrading the audio. Furthermore, because it converts digital signals to audio extremely efficiently, the system is able to deliver four times the power output of a traditional fully digital system, while achieving reduced power consumption that is just about 1/5 of that of analog systems.

Exclusive features of the Z7 speakers

The multiple power coil structure combines driving forces to improve responsiveness, reduce voltage and current consumption and enable a new level of high power reproduction.

The ACMI-PP cone precisely accommodates digital sources. This hybrid PP cone features high-strength aramid fibers associated with carbon and mica and shaped through injection molding into an optimal form. By leveraging the various characteristics of each fiber type, this new material boasts superior lightweight level and high rigidity, with reasonable internal loss that enables precise reproduction of digital signals.

The phase switch moderates the characteristics of the audio wave and improves performance and directionality of the midrange, thus reproducing clear live vocal lines. Ideal for reproducing extremely sophisticated audio. The phase switch optimizes audio waves from the speaker core to deliver clear and transparent audio.

The speakers feature an integrated strontium magnet that maintains higher magnetic coercivity compared to traditional magnets. Combined with efficient magnetic flux circuits, they can reproduce sounds with dynamic and extremely responsive low tones.

In the center part of each speaker cone is inserted a reinforcement ring called BASSLIZER that ensures superior rigidity. Because this structure inhibits cone distortion, the speaker can emit sounds with higher linearity at high volume level. It reproduces low frequencies with high responsiveness, maximum clarity and minimal distortion.
