Ciare YAC827 sound absorbing material in low-density polyester fiber. Ideal for dampening and absorbing reflections and diffractions inside acoustic speakers. In fact, its use is very useful in the creation of high-fidelity speaker cabinets, as a replacement for old fiberglass.

It is good practice to completely cover the entire internal surface of the speaker. Particular attention must be paid to obtaining excellent adhesion of the polyester sheet to all internal sides of the cabinet, paying special attention to application at the corners. Also, it is important not to block any reflex tuning ports, as well as the bases that house the passive filter crossovers. In these cases it will be sufficient to shape appropriate openings on the sheet before proceeding with fastening. Finally, if you have active speakers that do not have a dedicated enclosed volume for the amplifier, it is also good here to avoid wrapping it in polyester, to allow the electronics to correctly dissipate the heat generated.

For the application of YAC827 sound absorber, the use of a staple gun is recommended, ensuring that the polyester is anchored to the wood at an appropriate number of points, as evenly distributed as possible on the surface of the sheet. Also, the material with which it is made does not propagate fire, as it is self-extinguishing.
