Ciare YAC826 sound-absorbing material in high-density expanded polyurethane. Ideal for dampening and absorbing reflections and diffractions inside acoustic loudspeakers. In fact, its use is very useful in the construction of professional loudspeaker cabinets, especially for 2 or 3-way systems or for subwoofer enclosures.

It is good practice, in fact, to completely line the entire internal surface of the loudspeaker. Particular attention must be paid to obtaining excellent adhesion of the polyurethane to all internal sides of the cabinet, paying special attention to the application in the corners.
Furthermore, it is important not to block any reflex tuning tubes with polyurethane, as well as the bases that house the passive filter crossovers. In these cases it will be sufficient to shape appropriate openings in the polyurethane before proceeding with gluing.
Finally, if you have active loudspeakers that do not provide a dedicated closed volume for the amplifier, it is also good here to avoid wrapping it in polyurethane, to allow the electronics to correctly dissipate the heat generated.
