Sony XS-680ES Pair of 2-way coaxial speakers 6 x 8" (16 x 20cm) Mobile ES series.


The diaphragm of the main speaker of the XS-160ES model is made of mica-reinforced cellular material (MRC) exclusive to Sony. The rigid yet lightweight driver allows for much more precise response compared to drivers made of conventional material and ensures smoother and more natural sound.

The integration of MRC in an exclusive matrix with aramid fibers eliminates diaphragm resonance and minimizes distortion, not only in the lows, but also in the midrange and highs. The result is powerful sound at all frequencies and incredibly clean, even at higher volumes.

The woofer surround is equipped with another proprietary Sony technology, with curved notches that improve vertical amplitude symmetry to drastically reduce distortion and improve clarity.

XS-680ES Features

  • Hi-Res Audio Tweeter: The soft dome tweeter diaphragm is directly connected to the coil, compatible with high resolution audio, designed to cover the highest range sounds thanks to a frequency range that extends up to 40 kHz.
  • Five-frame structure and dynamic air diffuser: The five-frame design dissipates resonance while the integrated diffuser ensures optimal air circulation for the flexible cone operation and coil cooling.
  • Progressive variable height spider: The spider is acoustically optimized and allows for greater power and better air flow, with a profile designed for faster and more precise cone damping.
