ESX V1000A active subwoofer system 25 cm (10") with dual passive woofer

With the new V1000A, ESX launches an active subwoofer designed specifically for the most demanding audiophiles. It is part of the VISION family, which includes only the highest quality products in the ESX range. In the case of the V1000A, this means that particular attention has been paid to achieving the best possible sound, the best impulse response and maximum deep bass extension - all in minimized dimensions!

The V1000A was developed with the goal of combining maximum bass extension with high precision in a compact enclosure. The challenge is that while modern woofers are able to deliver impressive bass reproduction from a small volume, they often feature reduced efficiency or design compromises. To avoid these conflicting objectives, the V1000A uses an actively driven driver in combination with two carefully tuned passive radiators. This principle is functionally equivalent to a bass-reflex system, but without the traditional port. With bass-reflex enclosures tuned to very low frequencies like the Vision Box, very long reflex ports would be necessary, which are difficult to integrate mechanically. Furthermore, high air velocities in the port can cause air flow noise and compression effects. The V1000A's passive radiators, on the other hand, assume the function of the air mass in the reflex port. Their moving mass defines the system's tuning frequency, while their mechanical damping controls the impulse response.

The result: powerful and controlled bass in a compact volume - without air flow noise and with stable pneumatic spring control even below the tuning frequency. Truly controlled bass from a VISION subwoofer enclosure!

The system is powered by a powerful 10 inch (25 cm) subwoofer with a large 50 mm voice coil, driven by the integrated Class D active module. The efficient amplifier delivers 325 watts RMS and achieves efficiency up to 87% - which means maximum performance with minimal power losses. For optimal sound adjustment, low-pass filters with slopes of 12 or 18 dB, bass boost and a phase switch are available. The signal can be input via RCA inputs or high-level inputs with automatic turn-on. The included remote control for bass level control and a detachable power plug for power and remote control connection are also very practical, allowing quick and easy speaker removal from the vehicle. From an aesthetic point of view, the V1000A impresses with elegant protective grilles, high-quality ESX logo embroidery and a sophisticated and modern overall appearance.
