ESX SXE10D2 10" (25 cm) Subwoofer with Protective Grille

The SIGNUM subwoofers from the ESX range have become a recommendation from professionals thanks to their qualities: They offer excellent sound, are of the highest quality and well equipped. This also applies to the new SXE subwoofers, which develop all their performance especially in bass reflex boxes. A particular strength is the protective grille supplied with it, pre-assembled and extremely stable. Not only does it protect the membrane from potential damage, but it also makes a visual impact with its hexagonal honeycomb pattern and its curved structure. Fortunately, there is no need to spend money on additional protective grilles, which makes the SXE woofers particularly attractive in terms of price.

The successful appearance of the SIGNUM SXE subwoofers is not only due to the pre-assembled protective grilles: the high-quality pressure-cast aluminum baskets also make an excellent impression. But they are not only beautiful to look at, they also significantly improve construction stability. There is practically no vibration in the material.

An important aspect of subwoofers is the drive, which in the SXE models is very generous: All three sizes use dual heavy magnets, which in turn drive dual voice coils wrapped long with an impedance of 2+2 ohm. The dual voice coils used make the subwoofers very versatile: whether on a stable 1 ohm mono block or on conventional 2 or 4 channel power amplifiers, the woofers adapt very well to almost all amplifiers on the market thanks to their variable impedance.
