Hertz SS 15 D2 Subwoofer 380mm SPL SHOW series for SPL competitions - maximum power of 2400W

The new SS 12 D2 and SS 15 D2 subwoofers, with a diameter of 30 cm (12 inches) and 38 cm (15 inches) respectively, are eager to thrill enthusiasts with their power. They feature a reinforced suspension system with a dual-layer progressive spider that maintains consistent performance over time, especially in the heavy use typical of bass.

Heat dissipation is essential for this type of use and has been maximized through careful design. The use of a robust dual 75 mm (3 inch) winding (2 + 2 Ω) voice coil developed in a 4-layer configuration on a support with ventilation holes allows the SS 12 D2 and SS 15 D2 to handle 2000 W and 2400 W of peak power respectively! They are subwoofers designed for optimal heat dissipation and high mechanical resistance.

Non-pressed paper cone with the addition of cotton fiber: it is the ideal compromise between rigidity and lightness, essential for a high sensitivity value. The suspensions and leadwires are oversized to withstand the very high excursions generated by the massive ferrite motor. The push connectors accept cables up to 12 AWG section, for a practical and safe connection, suitable for the high currents involved.
