Hertz SS 12 D2 subwoofer 300mm from the SPL SHOW series for SPL competitions and maximum power of 2000W

The new SS 12 D2 and SS 15 D2 subwoofers, with diameters of 30 cm (12 inches) and 38 cm (15 inches) respectively, are eager to thrill enthusiasts with their power. They have a reinforced suspension system with a dual-layer progressive spider that maintains consistent performance over time, especially in the heavy use typical of bass.

Heat dissipation is essential for this type of use and has been maximized thanks to careful design. The use of a robust dual winding of 75 mm (3 inches) (2 + 2 Ω) voice coil developed in a 4-layer configuration on a support with ventilation holes allows the SS 12 D2 and SS 15 D2 to handle 2000 W and 2400 W of peak power respectively! These are subwoofers designed for optimal heat dissipation and high mechanical resistance.

Unpressed paper cone with the addition of cotton fiber: it is the ideal compromise between rigidity and lightness, essential for a high sensitivity value. The suspensions and leadwires are oversized to withstand the very high excursions generated by the massive ferrite motor. The push connectors accept cables with sections up to 12 AWG, for a practical and secure connection, suitable for the high currents involved.
