STEG SQ8-4 slim subwoofer 20cm 2x4 Ohm

With the objective of providing high acoustic output even when used with lower power, the SQ8-2 (2+2 Ohm) and SQ8-4 (4+4 Ohm) have been designed for use in a reflex enclosure of 8.5 liters. The components of the SQ8-4 subwoofer have been developed with a primary objective: to provide high power in confined spaces. Output is a matter of excursion; the more air the cone moves, the more output there will be.
However, the reduced mounting depth traditionally resulted in low excursion. The SQ8-4 subwoofers use a special geometry studied in our laboratories that guarantees wide excursion of the moving assembly, while keeping mounting depth to a minimum. The suspension, cone and spiders have been carefully designed to prevent the "rocking mode" phenomenon. This allows the subwoofer to be mounted close to the rear wall of the enclosure, taking full advantage of the reduced mounting depth.
