JBL 1224SSSeries II bass reflex box subwoofer 300mm (12") with patented Slipstream tuning port, maximum power 1100 Watt.

The 1224SS box guarantees high efficiency and high output levels typical of a vented box, without the annoying noise or "chuffs" generated by the tuning port. The patented Slipstream tuning tube significantly reduces tube noise at high sound pressure levels, minimizing air flow turbulence. With an oversized suspension, proprietary cone design and high excursion, the Series II box delivers powerful and precise bass, with much greater accuracy compared to conventional boxes. And the exclusive SSI™ (Smart Selectable Impedance) switch lets you choose an impedance of 2 or 4 ohm for maximum configuration flexibility.

Slipstream™ tuning port design
At high sound pressure levels, air flow turbulence inside the port of a vented box can create noise that sounds like a woofer breaking. The patented Slipstream tuning tube in the Series II subwoofer box uses a dual flare design to minimize turbulence and eliminate unwanted vortices.

SSI™(Selectable Smart Impedance)
Setting up most car audio systems requires an impedance of 2 or 4 ohm. The Series II subwoofer features an exclusive selector that allows you to choose between two impedance loads. Not available in any other competitor product, SSI allows you to reconfigure your system simply by flipping a switch.

Oversized suspension
The Series II box uses an oversized suspension that provides better support to the cone surround and at the same time maximizes excursion. Not only do they increase the cone surface, but they also provide excellent linear stability and reliability.

Proprietary cone design
JBL subwoofer cones are not only built to hit hard, but also to last. The Series II box is characterized by an exclusive cone design that provides superior rigidity for lasting performance.

High excursion design
The greater the excursion of a subwoofer, the more air it moves. And the more air it moves, the more you'll feel the bass. The high excursion design in the Series II box ensures high and deep bass.
