ESX QRM18 Self-adhesive butyl aluminum

ESX is known for its high-quality components in the car audio sector. In addition to high-quality amplifiers and DSP products, ESX also offers a wide selection of speakers. Since speakers are integrated into vehicles and problems often occur when sheet metal or door panels vibrate undesirably, ESX has added a wide range of damping materials to its product line. With QUANTUM RAZOR MATS in butyl aluminum and acoustic foam, ESX allows you to professionally dampen sound in vehicles. Because there is one thing no music enthusiast wants: background noise or vibrations that spoil the enjoyment of music.

Not all aluminum butyls are the same. In the end, it comes down to the right composition and internal structure, not just the weight or strength of the material. Good aluminum butyl has high mechanical damping properties and can calm unwanted vibrations like a good shock absorber. At the same time, sound is isolated, so the application of aluminum butyl creates an additional acoustic barrier. All of this has a positive effect on interior acoustics and speaker reproduction quality.

The QRM18 butyl aluminum already has excellent all-around damping properties. With its thickness of 1.8 mm, it is easy to work with and adapts well to insulating doors or trunks. If the surface allows, the QRM22, 2.2 mm thick and with a Mechanical Loss Factor (MLF) of 0.35, is an even better choice. The ingenious QRM30S offers the best damping properties. With a thickness of 3.0 millimeters and an MLF loss factor of 0.5, this RAZOR MAT calms even the most problematic areas. The sound result is surprising: where vehicle parts previously "rattled" and "clattered", after applying the QRM30S there is absolute silence. You only hear what the speaker should reproduce.
