ESX Q-208A 20 cm (8") active subwoofer.

Successor to the QUANTUM Q202A, the new and improved Q208A with the same compact dimensions, finds its place under most seats. With impressive power of 150 watts RMS, the integrated Class A/B amplifier has a huge 50% more power than the previous model. Important features such as automatic turn-on function and high-level input have been adopted to allow integration into modern factory audio systems, even though there is no remote turn-on line and no preamplifier signal via RCA.

The passive woofers installed on both sides are newly designed, which are protected with robust metal covers and give the enclosure a unique appearance. This is completed by an ESX logo discreetly printed on the woofer protection grille, which provides additional stability.

Thanks to numerous features such as phase switch and low-pass crossover, the powerful bass sound can be optimally adapted to the vehicle's acoustics. Of course, the Q208A also has a cable remote control for adjusting the bass level. Although the enclosure height is very low, there is still room for two oval passive woofers on both sides. As a result, the active subwoofer is supported by passive resonance, especially at low frequencies, and a richer bass foundation is generated by greater air displacement.
