Audiophile Components
Some years ago, Alpine announced the Alpine F#1 Status system, a series of very high-performance audio components. Much of the experience gained from developing such models is now made available in products like the PXA-H800. One example is the use of four Wolfson 24-Bit D/A converters, which are generally found only in professional recording systems to help ensure superb sound detail. Another is the use of two 32-bit floating-point SHARC DSP, which accurately reproduce the sound source without degradation. Other superior quality components are a 6-layer PCB and a 24-Bit A/D converter for high-quality RCA input.


Time Correction and Digital Crossover
Digital time correction allows you to achieve optimal audio effect by making sound come from all speakers at the same time. Up to 8 channels can be corrected automatically or manually, from 0 to 20 ms in 5 ms steps. Digital highpass and lowpass filter allow you to set slopes from 0 to -36 dB/oct., with gain from -24 to 0 dB. You can customize the system crossover with the exact frequency you desire.

ImprintEQ with Post-Tuning Adjustment
ImprintEQ is a hardware/software combination that can completely overcome the acoustic problems present in any vehicle. It optimizes phase, tone balance and definition automatically, in a few minutes. After tuning is complete, you can manually modify settings if you want.

Extended EQ Capability
The PXA-H800 provides both graphic and parametric equalization. The 31-band graphic EQ provides for each of the five channels, plus 10 bands for the subwoofer, with gain from -12 to +12 dB. The parametric equalizer allows you to select a band and then adjust the output level and width for precise tuning. You can get 10 bands for each of the five channels, plus 5 for the subwoofer, with detailed Q settings and gain from -12 to +12 dB.

Experience 5.1 Surround Channel Sound
You can listen to multichannel audio from movie and music sources in Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround formats. The unit also offers Dolby Pro Logic II, so you can also enjoy stereo recordings in surround sound.

Bi-Phantom Center Channel
Even if you don't have a center speaker, you can still enjoy 5.1 audio. Alpine has included a bi-Phantom function that uses the right and left front channels to create a phantom center channel, enhancing voice quality.

Fine Tuning via PC
Connect your PC to the PXA-H800 with a USB cable and you get a very cool, easy-to-use interface that allows you to make detailed audio settings. You can also store numerous settings on your computer for later selection or even for different vehicles.

MediaXpander+
This exclusive Alpine technology restores the sound quality that is lost in recording or transmission processes. No adjustment is necessary, just press a button. MediaXpander+ is particularly suited for use with compressed digital files on iPod or other players, but is also effective for old CD recordings, and also improves bass from factory-installed speakers.

RoadEQ
Even superior sound can be degraded by problems like road noise, wind noise and air conditioning. RoadEQ uses a microphone to record the noise inside the vehicle. It compares the original and recorded signals, then creates specific frequency and level adjustments to cancel the noise. A powerful processor performs these operations about 48,000 times per second.

Euphony
Euphony allows you to enjoy 5.1 channel sound from stereo sources. It creates natural surround sound from CD or iPod with wide sound range. It particularly improves voice and instrumental quality for a superior sound image.

6 Speaker Input
With six speaker level inputs, you can connect six channels coming from a factory system and systems that do not have PRE-OUT outputs. No separate converters needed.
