Dynamat PRO X DYN10509 Damping Material 3.05 mm for SPL, Heavy-Duty Applications and Extreme Vibration Control

Dynamat PRO X is a high-performance vibration damping material designed for applications where noise and vibration control require superior mass and rigidity compared to standard materials. Thanks to the increased thickness and reinforced structure, it is suitable for heavy-duty applications in automotive, industrial and technical fields, where mechanical and acoustic stresses are particularly high.

How a high-performance damping material works and what it is for

Structural noise is generated by the vibration of solid surfaces when subjected to mechanical or acoustic energy. In the most extreme contexts, metal sheets or panels tend to resonate with high amplitudes. Dynamat PRO X is designed to intervene on this phenomenon by significantly increasing surface mass and energy dissipation capacity.

The material:

  • increases the acoustic loss factor of treated surfaces
  • reduces high-intensity vibrations
  • limits the propagation of structural resonances
  • improves the mechanical stability of panels

Its effectiveness derives from the combination of:

  • high-density butyl layer
  • reinforced aluminum foil
  • increased total thickness (3.05 mm)

Compared to standard materials, it offers superior damping capacity under high-stress conditions.

When to use it, where to apply it and how to install it

PRO X is intended for contexts where vibrations exceed the levels typical of standard automotive use. Typical applications:

  • high-performance or modified vehicles
  • engine compartments or high-stress surfaces
  • floors and metal structures subject to intense vibrations
  • industrial and technical applications (machinery, cabins, panels)
  • marine environments or structures subject to continuous vibrations

It is recommended when standard materials are insufficient to control high-resonance phenomena.

Installation

The material can be cut to size and applied directly to the surface to be treated. Procedure:

  1. thoroughly clean the surface from grease, dust and residue
  2. cut the sheet into the desired shape
  3. position the material following the surface geometry
  4. remove the protective film
  5. apply uniform pressure to ensure complete adhesion

To achieve optimal performance:

  • it is preferable to work in temperate environmental conditions
  • the material must be well pressed to eliminate any air gaps
  • adhesion increases with proper conforming to the surface

Dynamat PRO X represents the high-end solution for vibration control in extreme conditions. The increase in thickness and mass compared to standard materials allows you to handle applications where structural noise is particularly intense or persistent. It is a material designed for advanced technical interventions, where the goal is not just to improve acoustic comfort, but to structurally stabilize surfaces subject to heavy stress.
