The new Musway MG subwoofers fit perfectly into this philosophy, because they reveal what they are made of just by looking at them. Once you open the beautiful packaging, you immediately notice the robust protective grille. There is no need to look for adequate protection because it is already included. However, the strength of every MG woofer is undoubtedly the newly conceived and elegantly crafted cast aluminum basket, with its delicate struts and large ventilation windows behind the spider. The professional already suspects that woofers equipped with a dual magnet will reliably produce any type of bass perfectly.

Not only is the first impression convincing, but the technology in the details is also impressive: all woofers are characterized by a particularly long and uniform cone travel. In the case of the MG12, the travel reaches +/- 22 mm, that is a total travel of 44 mm! This enormous deflection is controlled by dual polycotton spiders specifically shaped, whose properties have been continuously optimized by MUSWAY sound engineers in laboratory and sound tests. The moving mass (Mms) can also be kept low by using copper-coated aluminum voice coils (CCAW). All these measures translate into very favorable Thiele/Small parameters, so much so that the subwoofers are also well suited for sealed enclosures. The MG10 is distinguished by the speaker volume of 25 liters and the depth and clarity of the bass down to 43 Hz (-3 dB). Those who place great importance on fidelity and impulse clarity should choose this version. If you prefer a fuller bass sound, you should opt for bass reflex constructions. Thanks to their design, they can produce even deeper bass by exploiting the air in the enclosure with a specially tuned reflex port. Here all three woofers deploy their potential and are easily able to play down to 30 Hz.
