The new MG subwoofers fit perfectly with this philosophy and you just have to look at them to understand what they are made of. As soon as you open the package with its eye-catching design, your gaze is immediately drawn to the robust protective grille. There is no need to look for adequate protection, because it is already included in the delivery. However, the visual strength of every MG woofer is undoubtedly the newly conceived basket made of cast aluminum and elegantly crafted, with its delicate struts and large ventilation windows behind the spider. Professionals can already sense that woofers equipped with dual magnets produce perfectly any type of bass.

It is not just the first glance that surprises, but also the technology in the details: all woofers are characterized by a particularly long and uniform cone excursion. In the case of the MG12, this reaches up to +/- 22 mm, meaning that a total excursion of 44 mm is possible! This enormous extension is controlled by dual spiders/centrers in polycotton of special shape, whose properties have been constantly optimized by Musway's sound engineers in laboratory and sound tests. By using aluminum voice coils coated in copper (CCAW) it is possible to keep the moving mass (Mms) low. All of these measures result in very favorable Thiele/Small parameters, so much so that the subwoofers are very well suited for closed enclosure housing as well. In particular, the MG10 stands out which, with a speaker volume of 25 liters, reproduces deep and clean bass down to 43 Hz (-3 dB). Anyone who attaches great value to high fidelity and pulse cleanliness should choose this version. Those who love fuller bass should opt for the bass reflex models.

Thanks to their design, these models are able to produce an even greater amount of bass by exploiting the air present in the cabinet with a dedicated tuned reflex port. All three woofers deploy their potential and are able to play effortlessly down to 30 Hz.
