Controlled Acoustic Resistance
The C.A.R. Filter improves acoustic loading by controlling air flow within the driver, mimicking the effects of a cabinet and improving power handling by 30%. This provides greater control over cone movement for improved bass dynamics.

EVC Motor
Morel speakers with EVC technology use voice coils up to three times larger than those used in conventional speakers, allowing better heat dissipation, power handling and linearity. The EVC design shifts the magnetic motor system inside the voice coil, eliminating stray magnetic flux by effectively directing all magnetic energy to the voice coil. EVC architecture is over 90% more efficient than conventional design, magnetically shielded and highly compact.

Hand-crafted Acuflex soft dome
A specially designed damping compound applied by hand to soft domes, adding stiffness and damping, which greatly improves tweeter/midrange clarity and bandwidth. The Acuflex diaphragm exhibits controlled break-up elimination (accurate flexing), which means each break-up mode is countered by another in the opposite direction, allowing smooth frequency response.

Hexatech aluminum voice coil
Made 100% from honeycomb-shaped aluminum wire, the Hexatech voice coil reduces air gaps in coil windings, thus increasing efficiency by up to 20%. Being lightweight, Hexatech voice coils are largely responsible for the extraordinary fast transient response for which Morel driver units are famous.

Paper cone
In use since the earliest speakers, paper continues to be an exceptional material of choice. Morel's latest composite paper cones are ultra-lightweight, making them an exceptional match for drivers using smaller motors and voice coils.

Hybrid magnet motor
The hybrid motor drive system uses a ferrite magnet together with a very powerful neodymium magnet. Together they create a compact and lightweight motor system that is up to four times more powerful than conventional models of the same size. With Hybrid, the highest amplified power is converted into sound energy for flawless performance, even in a small driver.
