ETON HEX 165 High-end Woofer 165 mm (6.5")

The next evolutionary phase of the legendary patented ETON HEXACONE cone technology: the 165 mm (6.5") high-end system delivers top-tier performance for audio enthusiasts. The newly conceived sandwich-structured cone consists of a 3D hexagonal honeycomb structure embedded between two layers of fiberglass fabric, made with a sophisticated manufacturing process. The HEX membrane is highly resistant, extremely lightweight, and features excellent damping properties. Each individual HEX membrane is further hand-coated with a specially developed layer.

This additional layer dampens resonances on the cone surface and ensures the rich, well-defined and exceptionally precise sound of this high-end audio system. The ribbed die-cast aluminum phase plug, located at the center of the HEX 165, represents true added value in terms of sonic performance: thanks to its special design, it allows free cone movement, prevents interference in the area near the cone, and contributes to the incredible localization precision of the HEX 165.

The finest details are perfectly separated, creating a transparency and, above all, a spatial depth that has rarely been seen before. The powerful neodymium driver with magnetic field symmetry optimized through FEA ensures the lowest distortion values and enables extremely dynamic, impulse-faithful and controlled reproduction - from the weakest signal to the most powerful bass.
