Alpine Status HDZ-653S Hi-Res 3-way speaker system, composed of 170 mm woofer, 96 mm midrange speakers, slim 40 mm tweeter and audiophile crossover.

Alpine introduces the brand new Alpine Status audio system: using the same engineering and design concepts taken from the third-generation AlpineF#1Status system, ultra-high resolution, Alpine has created "Alpine Status" to achieve high-resolution sound at a more affordable price. The Alpine Status system is also extremely flexible: all components can be purchased and used in "stand-alone" configuration.

All speaker cones are made with the same material, Carbon Composite to create a unified tonal identity during playback. They closely resemble the appearance and feel of AlpineF#1Status speakers, using very similar motor construction and assembly, as well as the same construction materials for maximum sound quality.

The 3-way Slim-Fit HDZ-653S speaker set with a high-resolution bandwidth of 55 Hz - 40 kHz includes a 170 mm woofer, a 96 mm midrange and a Slim-Fit 40 mm tweeter that is easy to install in the original tweeter positions of your vehicle. They also include high-end speaker x-over.

The 3-way x-over networks included are equipped with hand-selected high-end components and offer numerous adjustment possibilities: you can adjust the midrange level from 0dB to -3dB, the tweeter level from +3dB, 0dB or -3dB and you can set the woofer X-Over to 12dB/oct or 6dB/oct. The smoked acrylic cover with the Alpine logo can be slid forward to access the screw terminals and jumpers.

The included 40 mm Slim-fit Hi-Res Audio tweeters sound simply amazing and play up to 40 kHz. They are significantly smaller than the HDZ-653 tweeters, with particular attention to easy installability. They also include an integrated wave guide, a tuned chamber and a powerful neodymium magnet.
