Alpine presents the brand new Alpine Status audio system: using the same engineering and design concepts drawn from the third generation AlpineF#1Status system, at the highest resolution, Alpine has created "Alpine Status" to achieve high resolution sound at a more accessible price. The Alpine Status system is also extremely flexible: all components can be purchased and used in "stand-alone" configuration. For audiophiles who want to build an ideal audio system, Alpine Status offers a wide range of Hi-Res Audio enabled speakers. The 3-way speaker set HDZ-653, with a high resolution bandwidth of 55 Hz - 40 kHz, includes a 170 mm ported woofer, a 96 mm midrange and a 70 mm ring radiator tweeter with 25 mm voice coil. They also include high-end x-overs.

All speaker cones are made with the same material, Carbon Composite to create a unified timbral identity during playback. They come very close to the appearance and feel of AlpineF#1Status speakers, using very similar motor construction and assembly, as well as the same construction materials for maximum sound quality. The 70 mm Hi-res Audio ring tweeters included have simply extraordinary sound and play up to 40 kHz. They feature a 25 mm carbon fiber diaphragm, tuned to harmonize perfectly with the midrange and woofer to achieve a completely unified timbral identity.

They are also equipped with an integrated waveguide, a tuned rear chamber and a powerful neodymium magnet. The 3-way x-over networks included are equipped with hand-selected high-end components and offer numerous adjustment possibilities: you can adjust the midrange level from 0dB to -3dB, the tweeter level from +3dB, 0dB or -3dB and you can set the woofer X-Over to 12dB/oct or 6dB/oct. The smoked acrylic cover with the Alpine logo can be slid forward to access the screw terminals and jumpers.
