Hertz ESK 165.5 2-way kit new Energy series consisting of 2 tweeters ET 26.5 + 2 woofers EV 165.5 + 2 crossovers + 2 grilles and mounting accessories.

ESK 165.5 is a two-way system, which uses the exclusive ET 26.5 tweeter, the EV 165.5 woofer and the specific CX 200.5 crossover, creating a combination of technologically advanced products to ensure exciting acoustic performance. Excellent frequency response, wide installability also in factory preparations, efficiency and attractive design: the Energy.5 systems summarize and embody the entire sound philosophy of the Energy line. Pure energy for listening.

The Energy.5 line enhances the innovations introduced in the four version and becomes even more installable, also in factory preparations, and more performant.

Each Energy.5 component was developed with the aim of optimizing installation dimensions: careful research on the profile of woofers and coaxials led, in the former, to baskets and motor groups more compact, and in the latter, to an alignment between the height of the tweeter and that of the woofer surround, reducing those thicknesses which although minimal inside a door become fundamental.

ET 26.5
1. Tetolon dome with hemispherical profile and wide vault surround; extremely light and acoustically well isolated for a soft and extended frequency response at high frequencies.
2. Acoustic compression chamber, to obtain maximum efficiency and optimal off-axis dispersion.
3. Ultra-light voice coil cooled with ferrofluid in CCAW (Copper Clad Aluminium Wire, copper-coated aluminum wire).
4. High-energy neodymium magnet.
5. Low-carbon pole plates for maximum magnetic permeability and high thermal dissipation.
6. Sound-absorbing material, for controlling acoustic resonances, ensures clear tones at high frequencies.


EV 165.5
1. V-cone® for the best off-axis response and detail in the mid-high range.
2. Cellulose fiber cone treated with water repellent; suspensions in butyl rubber.
3. Voice coil in pure copper, wound on aluminum support, for exceptional thermal and mechanical capacity.
4. Oversized magnetic group for energetic control of the moving assembly.
5. Low-carbon pole plates for maximum magnetic permeability and high thermal dissipation.
6. Rubber-coated magnet, to ensure mechanical damping of the basket and motor group, and protect it from possible abrasion and damage.
7. Basket to DIN standards, coated with protective material against abrasion and corrosion.
8. High-current terminals, tin-plated.
9. Silver-plated braiding for maximum reliability and conductivity.
10. Basket-motor group coupling in epoxy glue.
11. Nomex spider with shape memory, for consistent and reliable performance.
