Dynamat Superlite - 1 sheet - Lightweight vibration damping material for car soundproofing 47 x 82 cm

Dynamat Superlite is a vibration damping material designed to reduce noise and resonance while keeping weight and thickness to a minimum. Based on Dynamat technology, it uses a butyl and aluminum structure optimized for applications where it is necessary to limit the increase in vehicle mass. Compared to traditional materials in the same range, it offers a lighter and more flexible approach while maintaining a good level of vibration damping.

How lightweight vibration damping material works and what it is used for

Vibrations in metallic surfaces generate structural noise and acoustic distortions. Damping materials work by reducing the ability of surfaces to resonate.
Dynamat Superlite uses:

  • low-density butyl layer
  • thin aluminum foil
  • high-strength adhesive

Compared to Dynamat Xtreme:

  • it is approximately 30% lighter and thinner
  • the butyl layer is thinner to reduce weight
  • it maintains lower but still high damping performance

The material allows you to:

  • reduce vibrations and resonance
  • improve acoustic comfort
  • keep the overall weight of the vehicle to a minimum

When to use it, where to apply it and how to install it

Superlite is recommended when weight is a critical factor. Typical applications:

  • car doors
  • interior panels
  • roof
  • trunk
  • light or thin surfaces

It is particularly useful for:

  • sports cars
  • SPL or performance installations
  • targeted interventions on specific areas
  • projects where you want to avoid added weight

Installation

The material is self-adhesive and easy to work with. Procedure:

  1. clean the surface
  2. cut the material to the desired shape
  3. remove the protective film
  4. apply the sheet
  5. press to ensure uniform adhesion

Thanks to the reduced thickness, it is simpler to adapt compared to heavier materials.
