Dynamat Dynil is a high-mass acoustic barrier designed to reduce sound transmission through structures such as walls, floors and ceilings. The material is based on a high-density vinyl compound, developed to block the passage of sound waves, particularly at low frequencies.
It is used in building, industrial and technical fields for acoustic isolation interventions where it is necessary to limit noise propagation between environments.

How an acoustic barrier (MLV) works and what it is for

Noise that travels through a solid structure (such as a wall or floor) requires a different solution than damping or absorption. Dynil acts as a high-mass acoustic barrier, increasing the impedance to sound passage.
The material:
  • blocks sound transmission through surfaces
  • is particularly effective on low frequencies
  • increases the overall acoustic insulation of the structure
Unlike sound-absorbing materials, it does not absorb sound but prevents it from passing through the structure.

  • avoid discontinuities or cracks
  • properly overlap the joints
  • integrate the material in closed systems
