DynaPad is a composite material designed for acoustic and thermal insulation of horizontal surfaces in vehicles. Unlike vibration-damping materials, it acts as a barrier against noise and heat from the road, engine and exhaust. The multilayer structure allows effective reduction of low frequencies and heat transfer through the floor pan, improving overall cabin comfort.

How a multilayer thermos-acoustic insulation works and what it is for

Low frequency noise (rolling, exhaust, structural vibrations) is the most difficult to attenuate because it easily penetrates surfaces.

DynaPad uses a four-layer composite structure:

central high-mass barrier (vinyl)
two acoustic foam layers
protective surface layer
This system creates an effect:
absorption - barrier – absorption

which allows to:

block noise transmission (especially low frequencies)
attenuate rolling and exhaust noise
reduce heat transfer from the vehicle floor
improve internal acoustic comfort

Its effectiveness comes from the ability to create a physical separation between sound source and cabin.

When to use it, where to apply it and how to install it

DynaPad is designed mainly for applications on horizontal surfaces and areas in contact with the vehicle floor.
Typical applications:

cabin floor pan
luggage compartment
firewall
floors of vehicles and boats

It is particularly recommended when:

you want to reduce rolling noise
you want to insulate heat from the exhaust
you are building a complete soundproofing system

For maximum performance, use over a damping layer is recommended (e.g. Dynamat Xtreme).

Installation

The material can be easily cut and adapted to the surface.
Procedure:

remove any carpet or trim
clean the surface from dirt and residue
cut the panel into the desired shape
position it on the floor pan
reinstall the carpet over the material
under the carpet no adhesive is necessary and in other applications spray adhesive can be used. The material is waterproof and resistant to oils and moisture.
