Dynaliner is an ultralight thermal acoustic insulator designed to reduce heat transmission and improve acoustic insulation inside the vehicle. It is composed of closed cell synthetic foam with CELL BLOCK™ technology, designed to provide high thermal performance while maintaining contained weight and thickness. Unlike vibration dampening materials, Dynaliner does not directly act on sheet metal resonances, but works as an insulating layer over damping materials such as Dynamat Xtreme.

How a closed cell thermal acoustic insulator works and what it is for

Heat and part of the noise perceived inside the cabin are transmitted through metal surfaces, panels and cavities. Dynaliner uses an extremely compact closed cell synthetic foam structure that limits air infiltration and reduces the thermal conductivity of the material. This allows you to:

  • reduce heat transfer
  • improve thermal acoustic insulation
  • limit reflections and standing waves in panels
  • increase internal vehicle comfort

The material:

  • does not absorb water
  • resists oils and lubricants
  • does not promote mold or corrosion
  • maintains flexibility and lightness over time

When installed over Dynamat Xtreme it helps increase the overall thermal resistance of the multilayer system.

When to use it, where to apply it and how to install it

Dynaliner is designed for applications where thermal and acoustic insulation needs to be added without significantly increasing weight. Typical applications:

  • doors
  • cabin floor
  • roof
  • firewall / engine bulkhead
  • side panels
  • trunk
  • engine hood
  • fiber or composite enclosure

It is particularly effective as a second layer over CLD materials such as Dynamat Xtreme.

Installation

The material is self-adhesive and easily shapeable.
Procedure:

  1. clean the surface thoroughly
  2. cut the panel in the desired shape
  3. remove the adhesive film
  4. apply the material following the geometry of the surfaces
  5. press evenly to ensure complete adhesion

Thanks to the soft and flexible structure it can adapt to even complex or curved surfaces.

DYN11101 Dynaliner 1/8" – 3.2 mm
Thinner version of the range, suitable for installations in tight spaces or under panels and coverings. Recommended applications:

  • doors
  • interior panels
  • areas with limited space
  • fiberglass enclosure

DYN11102 Dynaliner 1/4" – 6.4 mm
Intermediate version designed for a better balance between insulation and bulk. Recommended applications:

  • Coverage: 1.11 m²

DYN11103 Dynaliner 1/2" – 12.7 mm
Maximum thickness version, indicated for applications where high thermal and acoustic insulation capacity is required. Recommended applications:

  • complete floors
  • roofs
  • engine bulkheads
  • areas subject to strong heat
  • Thickness: 12.7 mm
  • Sheet dimensions: 137.2 x 81.3 cm
  • Coverage: 1.11 m²


Dynaliner is an ultralight thermal acoustic insulator designed to improve thermal comfort and reduce part of the acoustic transmission without significantly increasing weight and bulk.

Thanks to the closed cell structure and availability in three different thicknesses, it can be adapted to very different installations, from doors to complete floors. It is particularly effective in multilayer systems, where it is used over vibration dampening materials to complete the thermal acoustic treatment of the vehicle.
