The Dynamat Xtreme Installer Pack is a kit of vibration-damping sheets designed for medium to large soundproofing and acoustic treatment work on vehicles. It uses Dynamat Xtreme material, engineered to reduce vibrations on metal surfaces, resonances and part of road noise, helping to improve acoustic comfort and audio system performance. The kit includes 12 sheets in flat format 18" x 32", providing greater coverage area compared to smaller-sized kits.

How vibration-damping material works and what it is used for

The sheet metal and metal panels of a vehicle can vibrate due to mechanical stress and energy produced by the audio system. These vibrations generate resonances and structural noises that can affect both cabin comfort and sound reproduction quality.

Dynamat Xtreme works directly on the treated surfaces, helping to:

  • dampen vibrations of metal panels
  • reduce resonances of sheet metal
  • limit noise and vibrations coming from the road
  • reduce vibrations and distortions associated with door panels
  • improve dynamics and definition of audio reproduction

The result is a more stable surface and an acoustically more controlled environment, particularly useful in upgrades or optimization work on a car audio system.

Where to apply vibration-damping sheets

The Xtreme Installer Pack can be used on the main metal surfaces of the vehicle where vibrations and resonances are a problem.

Applications include:

  • doors
  • floor pan
  • roof
  • rear panels
  • trunk lid and floor
  • other metal surfaces of the cabin

The greater amount of material compared to the Tech Pack makes it suitable for more extensive work, up to treatment of the main surfaces of a vehicle.

Installation

Before application it is necessary to clean the surface thoroughly, removing dust, grease and residue that could compromise the material's adhesion.

The sheet can be cut and adapted to the surface to be treated before removing the protective film. Once positioned, it must be pressed carefully to promote complete adhesion and eliminate any air bubbles.

For correct application:

  • clean and prepare the surface
  • measure and cut the material to the required shape
  • position the sheet on the surface
  • remove the protective film
  • press the material evenly, preferably using a roller

The use of a roller allows for better material adhesion and more uniform application, especially on surfaces with ribs or irregular shapes.
