Dynamat Xtreme Squared 18 is a vibration damping material based on Dynamat Xtreme technology, supplied in a square format of 45 x 45 cm. The "squared" format is designed to facilitate installation on flat or modular surfaces, reducing cutting time and optimizing coverage of treated areas. The material is intended for reducing structural vibrations and resonances of metal surfaces in automotive and technical applications.

How a vibration damping material works and what it is used for

Metal surfaces of a vehicle tend to vibrate when subjected to mechanical or acoustic stress, generating resonances and structural noise. Dynamat Xtreme Squared uses the same technology as classic Dynamat Xtreme:

  • high density elastomeric butyl layer
  • aluminum containment foil
  • high-tack adhesive for permanent application

The material directly intervenes on vibrations by converting mechanical energy into heat, thereby reducing the propagation of resonances. The result is a more stable structure less subject to acoustic distortions.

When to use it, where to apply the vibration damping sheets and how to install it

The Squared format is particularly suitable for regular surfaces or modular installations.

It is particularly useful when you want a neat and uniform application without excessive material adaptation.

Installation

The material is supplied in preformed sheets of 45 x 45 cm.
Procedure:

  1. carefully clean the surface of dust, grease and moisture
  2. position the sheet in the area to be treated
  3. remove the protective adhesive film
  4. apply uniform pressure to ensure complete adhesion
  5. finish any overlaps

The square format reduces the need for complex cuts and improves installation repeatability.

Dynamat Xtreme Squared 18 is a variant of the Xtreme system designed to simplify installation on regular or modular surfaces. It maintains the same vibration damping properties of the original material, but offers greater application efficiency. It is a solution designed for quick, repeatable and professional installations where the precision of the material layout is as relevant a factor as acoustic performance.
