Audison APBX 8 AS2 Active Subwoofer 20cm Prima Series

Active subwoofer Prima APBX 8 AS2, with 8 inch (20 cm) driver, is equipped with a dedicated amplification module for high performance. This configuration improves the passive technologies of the box, such as the 2S² design (2 sides / 2 sounds), also equipped with Plug & Play terminals and ultra-compact dimensions. The amplification module, with power of 250W RMS is developed with he-li technology (high efficiency / low impedance), which thanks to the absence of the DC-DC voltage multiplier achieves the impressive efficiency level of 90%, very close to the theoretical limit of Class D.

The new DBT (Dynamic Bass Tracking) technology of the input stage allows you to use 100% of the he-li amplifier power (High Efficiency Low Impedance) and enjoy tight and dynamic bass even at very high listening volumes.

The elimination of the voltage multiplier was made possible thanks to the development of new dual coil drivers, which inherit all the technological background of Prima subwoofers, but differ for their very low impedance. This characteristic guarantees perfect synergy with he-li technology (High Efficiency Low Impedance), maximizing the combination of amplifier, speakers and sealed box, to obtain low, powerful and clear frequencies. The control section is complete and provides optimal adjustment of low frequency emission in the car cabin. The 12dB/oct. Butterworth low-pass filter with variable cutoff frequency (50-200 Hz) can be bypassed, if used with an AP bit processor with dedicated pre-out output for the sub.

The adjustable bass boost (0 ÷ 6 dB) at 45 Hz allows you to emphasize the response in the lower part of the spectrum. The high level speaker input on multipolar connector facilitates integration with OEM audio systems while the low level input on RCA is dedicated to connection with aftermarket sources. The subwoofer automatic turn-on/off function ART (Automatic Remote Turn-On) can be configured to be controlled by the remote signal from the source, by voltage variation on the high level input or by audio signal on both inputs. Phase control (0 - 180°) completes the equipment. The SSP (Sub Smart Plug) terminal block is equipped with a single Plug & Play connector so you can disconnect the box easily and safely.
