Audison APBMW S8-4.2 Subwoofer 20cm under-seat for BMW and Mini

Subwoofer for BMW and MINI, featuring the same flat design and acoustic performance of the previous version, for perfect under-seat adaptation. APBMW S8-4.2 fits all BMW and Mini models already compatible with the previous version. This new version has a further reduced mounting depth for compatibility with BMW G-series models, including the following models: X3G01, X3G08, X5G05, X4G02, X6G06. Audison has engineered an under-seat woofer with a 200 mm flat frame for BMW and MINI. These can be used as replacements for OEM amplification, but best results are achieved when used in a system upgrade that includes Audison Forza bit amplifiers and BMW integration wiring.

Audison R&D used an injection-molded frame with graphite fibers (to increase rigidity) and a neodymium magnet for a smaller size (important with the inverted magnet configuration). The 2"/50 mm voice coil is the largest used in any BMW aftermarket woofer. The inverted magnet design has a top vent in the pole, to extend thermal performance and power handling. The acoustically transparent fabric coating keeps debris away from the speaker cone, preventing sound distortion in the under-seat position. The 4Ω APSBMW S8-4.2 woofer allows more power to be delivered from a single amplifier channel. In many high-performance BMW systems, the under-seat woofer is used on a single set of channels as a midbass driver with intentionally limited sub-bass extension (while a larger subwoofer does its job in the trunk playing the lowest notes).

APBMW S8-4.2 Features

  • Two 5 mm gaskets have been provided for OEM positioning.
  • 2 ohm configuration for maximum output in combination with the AP 8.9 bit in active multi-amplification.
