The AEROSPACE 60 AMT tweeters have a clear, dynamic, energetic sound image, excellent impulse response and low high distortion. The Air Motion Transformer (AMT) represents a loudspeaker concept that does not require a classical voice coil. On a thin Kapton film (thickness 12-25 µm), a specially designed conductive path in thin aluminum (also only 12-25 µm thick) is processed through complex etching processes, which has a tortuous course.

To achieve high manufacturing precision, the film is folded by hand using special tools. Unlike the domes of conventional tweeters, the AMT diaphragm folded in the loudspeaker makes no movement from the front and back to produce the tones. The movement occurs in the convolutions, that is laterally, like a bellows. This causes the air in the convolutions to accelerate and exit from the front. An advantage of this technology is that the diaphragm area is larger than the visible area and therefore takes up less space. Combined with the lightness of the diaphragm, this results in detailed and dynamic reproduction.

All housing parts are CNC machined, nickel-plated, powder coated and then laser engraved. The aluminum frame is removable to allow even more compact installation. The special copper cable with silicone sheath and braid protection is connected directly to the membrane to avoid unnecessary transitions or materials in the signal path.
