The silk dome (tweeter) with polymeric laminate (Sonatex™) creates a perfect balance between weight, rigidity and self-damping. The catenary curve ensures wide tweeter dispersion. High-quality neodymium magnet. Not all magnets of equal size have the same strength. This high-quality magnet (N52) with high energy offers high resistance to demagnetization and is 25% stronger at equal mass compared to more common lower quality magnets.

An acoustic resistance component inside the ventilation hole helps control and dampen the dome movement, resulting in reduced distortion and a linear impedance curve for better speaker/amplifier coupling. The pole in very low carbon steel alloy has been machined with magnet analysis software (FEM) to create a perfect geometry.

Unbleached long-fiber cellulose pulp cone (midrange) with a special external treatment that makes this material a perfect combination of lightness, rigidity and internal damping. The most demanding audiophiles consider cellulose pulp the best compromise for a speaker cone that reproduces mid and low frequencies. The curvilinear shape of the cone improves the performance of this speaker thanks to its unique geometry. The sensitive inner section of the cone features an acute angle design that enhances its performance.

The outer edge is flat and more rigid and produces stronger mid-bass frequencies that are radiated evenly throughout the listening environment. The voice coil has been designed to be extremely lightweight, so as to easily reach the highest frequencies, but at the same time robust enough to handle high power. The copper-coated aluminum wire voice coil is very light and has excellent heat dissipation capability. The copper is coated on an aluminum surface that offers an equal copper surface at a fraction of the weight of solid copper wire. Twin ABS injected frame.

This custom configuration is what made ESB famous in the world of automotive audiophilia: the UMA unit ("Mid-High Unit" in Italian). The extremely close positioning of the midrange and tweeter emission centers makes these two components practically one unit, facilitating installation in cars where space is limited and the separate positioning of these speakers would create phase problems. - Deluxe stainless steel protective grille with calibrated perforations functioning as an acoustic lens, guaranteeing sound emission in the on-axis part of the speaker.
