The ESB 3000 Series was developed and assembled with great effort in the research of materials and engineering solutions of the highest level.

The baskets of the woofers and midranges were designed to achieve the maximum in terms of torsional rigidity (flexing). Paper pressed with waterproof treatment is the best combination of lightness, rigidity and the cone's ability to dampen any unwanted vibration. All woofers are equipped with a motor with Y-35 grade ferrite magnet, with performance significantly superior to classical "standard" ones

It is widely recognized that paper cones are the best combination of lightness, rigidity and the cone's ability to dampen any unwanted vibration (read: distortion). The paper cone, widely known for its excellent sound characteristics, is waterproof, thanks to a polymer developed exclusively by ESB. The treatment does not modify the appearance and parameters of the speaker such as glossy polymers that add an appreciable amount of mass to the cone and significantly modify the sound result. The treatment protects the cone from water dripping (such as inside a door panel), as well as accidental splashing on the front of the cone.

The tweeters of the 3000 series use a thin fabric dome impregnated with silk for soft and uniform sound, with an external suspension of the same material but covered with a damping material to eliminate vibrations and edge resonance. Two voice coils of 28 and 25 mm respectively for the two tweeters with aluminum support on very light copper-plated aluminum wire. The voice coils are vented and damped with ferrofluuid oil. Both use high quality N-42 neodymium magnets, optimized with computer simulations for better efficiency and linearity.

The special ventilation design, SVS (Surround Vented System) offers two advantages: optimal voice coil cooling and avoiding compressing air in the rear of the dome.
