The 2000 Series includes advanced technologies to deliver the best music in your car. All the knowledge and experience of the ESB R&D department have been transferred to these special components to achieve maximum audio performance such as bandwidth, dynamics in musical response and more detailed sound reproduction. A reference product for your category.

The woofer's ABS basket, reinforced with fiberglass, has been engineered to achieve maximum in terms of torsional rigidity (deflection), while at the same time offering minimal resistance to the passage of air displaced by the cone from the rear face. The basket plays a fundamental role in aligning the voice coil in the magnetic circuit, its rigidity is essential. A non-secondary factor is the damping of this component, often metal baskets tend to resonate, and this significantly alters the final sound output of the speaker. The ABS frame allows for better tightening torque compared to typical stamped steel frames and ensures that the voice coil remains well centered within the magnetic field.

The paper cone is the best combination of lightness, rigidity and the cone's ability to dampen any unwanted vibration (read: distortion). The waterproof treatment does not modify the appearance and parameters of the speaker like shiny polymers that add an appreciable amount of mass to the cone itself and significantly change the sound result. The treatment protects the cone from water dripping (such as inside a door panel), as well as from accidental splashes on the front of the cone.
