Wet Sounds Sinister-SDX2500 Class D Mono Subwoofer Amplifier

The Sinister-SDX 2500 class D monoblock subwoofer amplifier is the most powerful amplifier ever made by Wet Sounds. Thanks to class D technology and Wet Sounds' exclusive MAXED power supply, the Sinister-SDX 2500 achieves an efficiency of over 87%, one of the highest available in a marine amplifier. This means more power, lower current draw, less stress on the electrical system, and less heat generation. All of this translates to longer playback time!

The Sinister-SDX 2500 uses the same microprocessor-controlled intelligent protection circuit employed on all Sinister SDX amplifiers for protection against overvoltage/undervoltage, DC offset and speaker short circuit, as well as thermal rollback to ensure consistent playback in the harsh marine environment. The protection circuit is displayed in the backlit Wet Sounds logo. For further details on the protection circuit, consult the user manual.

As further protection against use in a hostile marine environment, the SDX2500 includes a sealed chassis for controls mounted on the top and a PCB with four-layer protective coating.

Sinister-SDX2500 Features

  • Master/Slave Configuration - Allows you to control 2 or more SDX2500 from a single set of controls. Gains, crossovers, bass amplifiers, subsonic filters and remote levels can be controlled from a single "Master" SDX2500 amplifier. This eliminates the need to align gains and crossovers, normally required when using multiple amplifiers. It also eliminates the use of "Y" RCA adapters. Consult the user manual for more details on this feature.
  • Remote Level Control - Included on all Sinister SDX amplifiers, it allows you to adjust the total amplifier output. The remote level control will never exceed the gain level set on the amplifier chassis. This control should be used for convenience when you only need to reduce the bass output in the system.
  • Multicolor LED emblem mounted on top - All Sinister amplifiers feature the emblem with the Wet Sounds logo that can be set to display red, white or blue as a status indicator. The emblem can also be rotated for vertical or horizontal positioning, depending on how the amplifier is mounted.
