Match PP 52DSP features 4 channels of 35 Watts RMS at 4 ohms or 50 Watts RMS at 2 ohms dedicated to powering the front and rear speakers plus one channel with 160 Watts RMS power for connection to dedicated Match subwoofers.

Audiotec Fischer, the manufacturer of Brax, Helix and Match, presents a new line of processor-amplifiers branded Match that expands and improves the Helix Plug & Play line. The PP 52DSP (direct successor to the old Helix PP50 DSP) was created to meet the needs of all music enthusiasts in cars who do not want, or cannot, replace the original source and/or modify the interior of their vehicle to accommodate a sophisticated hi-fi system but still have the desire to not give up correct and enjoyable sound reproduction, characterized by a truthful soundstage and coherent timbre.

On all channels operates a powerful 56-bit DSP, which provides complete control of active filtering, equalization and time alignment parameters. Adjustments can be made by connecting a computer through the USB port and thanks to the PC-Tool software it will be possible to finely tune all aspects of the calibration. There is also a microSD slot where specific calibration profiles for your vehicle can be inserted.

In addition to the 5 amplified channels, this amplifier-processor also offers a preamp output, freely configurable through management software, terminated with a pair of RCA connectors and electrically isolated from ground to prevent any "ground loop".

The optional URC2A remote control is configurable via PC-Tool and can, for example, control the master level, subwoofer level or Aux input level with potentiometers and of course assign any function to the switch.

A Bluetooth interface to be paired with smartphone software will also be available soon.

The PP52 DSP operates in this way:

  • Picks up the amplified signal from the original source (but it can also be a standard aftermarket model) through the included 2-meter long PP-ISO2 cable.
    *Optionally available is the 5-meter long PP-ISO5 cable
  • Converts the amplified (analog) signal into digital signal
  • Performs signal processing (electronic crossover, equalizer, time alignment)
  • Converts the appropriately processed digital signal back into analog format
  • Amplifies the obtained signal driving the front, rear speakers and subwoofer, which can remain the original ones or be replaced with more high-performance models

The sound result finally achievable will be hi-fi, thanks to the correct filtering of the speakers (thanks to the active crossover) that will finally be able to reproduce a naturally appealing sound (thanks to the equalizer) and a truthful soundstage (thanks to time alignment) that will literally make the speakers disappear (it will be extremely difficult to distinguish their positioning) to leave room only for a new sound stage: each instrument and each artist will occupy the exact space where they were during the recording, in other words the music ... as it should be!
