Hertz HCP 2X Two-channel class AB amplifier with crossover

HCP 2X is an 800W stereo amplifier, designed to expand or modify the factory system with extreme simplicity: equipped with preamplified inputs (Pre-In) and high-level inputs (Speaker-In) it allows interfacing with any head unit.


All amplifiers in the Hertz Compact Power line are assembled with high-quality components and equipped with a complete and defeatable crossover system. The heat dissipation system is optimized by transferring all heat to the heat sink and from there to the side surfaces that dissipate it.


With HCP 2 it is possible to create high-power systems: it can be configured both in mono, to drive the subwoofer, and in combination with another amplifier, for more complex systems; furthermore it is equipped with a Bass Boost filter (0 ÷ 12 dB) to enhance low frequencies.

HCP 2X Features

  • Compact design, made with an extruded aluminum heat sink, whose upper side effectively transfers the heat generated by the power electronic components.
  • Special balanced input circuitry for high noise rejection, in Pre-In or Speaker-In inputs.
  • Speaker-In inputs (for factory head units) and RCA-In inputs (for Aftermarket head units).
  • ART, Automatic Remote Turn-On/Off, automatically turns the amplifier on and off when the factory head unit turns on and off (can be enabled/disabled, only with Speaker-In inputs).
  • Power supply with multi-wire winding transformer, Low-ESR 105°C capacitors, AB-Class output stage stable at 2 Ω.
  • Pre-out outputs also available with Speaker-In level inputs.
  • Mono operating mode (selectable) to drive a subwoofer or, in combination with a second amplifier, to create a powerful dual-mono system.
  • Bass Boost (50 Hz) adjustable to 0 dB, 3 dB or 6 dB via selector, for deeper bass.
  • Hi-Pass, Lo-Pass and Full-range selectable crossover filters, with 12 dB/Oct. slope and variable frequency (from 50 Hz to 3200 Hz), for greater versatility of application in the creation of active systems.
