The new EPIC-160 uses AudioControl's award-winning patented bass restoration circuit, the Epicenter, and offers it in a compact and efficient in-dash chassis. Not stopping there, the EPIC-160 includes an SPL tester and LED display that will show your system's acoustic output. Over the years, many AudioControl customers have boasted about how the Epicenter has increased their SPL levels by up to 12 decibels.

The new EPIC-160 uses the patented bass restoration circuits of the Epicenter that really add the lowest octaves of bass to your entire performance car audio system. Additionally, there is also Sub-Bass parametric equalization, which accounts for fine-tuning the bass response to your specific vehicle. The net result is more bass, and while allowing you to elevate your bass response, the new EPIC-160 offers a specially designed microphone mounted on the front panel that can measure dB up to 160. The SPL is then displayed on an LED display on the front panel. You can select to see the SPL measurement constantly update or in a peak hold mode.

The display will also show the system power supply voltage with 0.1 volt resolution. The EPIC-160 is housed in a convenient 1/2 DIN sized chassis with all user controls mounted on the front panel for easy access. Like many AudioControl products, the EPIC-160 provides speaker level inputs and the ability to pass the signal through up to 13 volts. Made in the U.S.A.
