Audison C2O TOSLINK Analog/Digital Converter

Interface that converts signals acquired from the coaxial digital input and the AUX-IN analog input into TOSLINK digital optical output signal (up to 24 bit/192kHz). The conversion allows integration of new Hi-Res portable devices equipped with coaxial digital output (75 Ω) and smartphones with analog output on 3.5 mm mini jack (also 4-pin) with all devices equipped with optical digital input compatible with the signal resolution sent to the C2O.

Thanks to its high compactness, the C2O can be installed in a hidden and accessible position, drastically reducing the cable length between the portable player and the receiving device thus eliminating interfacing problems.

C2O Features

  • The coaxial digital input is equipped with an isolation transformer that improves coupling between the transmitter and the receiver circuit, reducing noise from electromagnetic interference EMI, particularly troublesome inside the vehicle cabin.
  • The AUX-IN input is equipped with a pre-amplifier with adjustable gain from 0.1V ÷ 2V for optimal coupling with any device and a high-quality Analog-to-Digital converter.
  • For maximum ease of use the C2O automatically selects the active input and in case of simultaneous signals prioritizes the AUX-IN. With the default setting, after 6 seconds of absence of analog signal, the C2O switches to the coaxial digital input. Through an internal switch it is possible to extend to 9 or 12 seconds the time before the switch.
