Zapco Z-400.2 SP Sound Quality amplifier, Class AB, 2-channel. RMS power 2 x 440 Watt @ 4 Ohm, high-end capacitors and operational amplifier.

With the new Z-SP Series, there are now four Z Series of Zapco amplifiers, the Z, Z-LX, Z-SP and ZX. Some general characteristics do not change but each series is modified for a specific purpose.
The most recent amplifiers of the Z Series are the SP line, as in Sound Pressure, Street Power or Super Power. This series derives from the need to equip cars competing in new categories called "Street Challenge" in some competitions, or "Street Demo".

What is "Street Power"?
Literally, power for the street; an amplifier that will be used on the street, in the square, in open spaces, with the car doors open and for "mass" listening. If you want to get the best audio quality and, at the same time, keep your car doors open, these are your amplifiers.
The Z-SP series amplifiers are a completely new design. Zapco added balanced inputs on our new gold-plated RCA connectors, the best opamps, capacitors and output devices for the best coupling in the SQ field. Electronic crossover and other controls to have
all the features you want with a signal-to-noise ratio of 105dB.

The Z-SP amplifiers perform faster heat transfer from the devices to the aluminum heatsink, thanks to new insulators. These insulators have the ability to transfer heat at least two times faster than traditional insulators like Mica, PVC, silicone, etc. The aluminum has been increased by 20% and cooling fans have been added (1 for each channel) inside the heatsink. The fan speed is regulated by a Microprocessor that constantly monitors the temperature. Thanks to these two important improvements, this line of amplifiers now has more power and greater stability.
