The SS9000 monoblock utilizes an exclusive circuit designed by DD that combines full bridge architecture with high current devices typically reserved for half bridge amplifiers. This hybrid approach delivers performance and speed across the entire frequency range with high clean output power, all housed in a compact and highly efficient chassis. Professional audio systems, such as special effects walls equipped with mid-woofers and high frequency drivers, will greatly benefit from the low noise floor. Systems with powerful bass can fully exploit the 9000 watts generated by the SIX-PACK toroidal power supply and oversized capacitors to reproduce an endless stream of low frequency passages.

The SS amplifiers have earned a reputation as high speed, high current Class D designs capable of delivering great power and superior sound quality in compact dimensions. Like all DD amplifiers, every major component is branded. They use MOSFETs and high current output devices, enhanced power capacitors and six extremely efficient transformers, all on a thermally robust PCB. The enclosure includes multiple discrete air vents and DD AUDIO's signature heatsink, which features 50% thicker side wall thickness compared to industry standards and extra long fins to increase surface area and ensure maximum cooling.
