Helix P TWO P812001 2-channel high-resolution amplifier, Ultra HD Class D

Plenty of power and sensitivity: the new P TWO combines two important characteristics in an absolutely unique way. Thanks to its RMS output power of 2 x 490 Watts at 2 Ohm, this compact amplifier is able to drive even powerful subwoofers. The technical design is literally predestined for all woofers with dual coil 2 x 2 Ohm like the new HELIX Q subwoofers.

Despite its sheer power, P TWO is not only an amplifier for subwoofers. On the contrary, the Ultra HD Class D concept combines an extended frequency response above 40 kHz with high damping factor, minimal distortion and excellent signal-to-noise ratio. Therefore, this amplifier is equally a perfect companion for heavy-duty front speakers in audiophile system concepts.

Ultra HD Class D amplification technology

Compared to conventional Class D amplifiers, this concept achieves an extended frequency response above 40 kHz combined with reduced distortion thanks to an advanced integrated feedback design. Ultra HD Class D achieves exceptional "Class AB" sound quality combined with the efficiency of a Class D amplifier.

Signal converters with native 32-bit resolution

HELIX P TWO uses for the optical input a latest generation signal DA converter with native 32-bit resolution instead of the common 24-bit. The result is unprecedented precision in signal conversion that particularly optimizes sound quality at lower signal levels.

Intelligent highlevel input

The latest generation of OE head units incorporates sophisticated diagnostic capabilities of connected speakers. If a common amplifier is connected, error messages and loss of specific features (for example the fader function) appear quite often - but not with the P TWO. The new ADEP circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection) avoids all these problems without unnecessarily loading the speaker outputs of the OE head unit at high volumes.

Start-Stop functionality

The switched power supply of HELIX P TWO ensures operation even if the battery voltage drops to 6 Volts during engine cranking.
