Operating principle


Air containing oxygen passes through the discharge space between the two electrodes; part of the air containing oxygen (O2) will be converted to ozone (O3). The high voltage generates a discharge in the space between the electrodes and the oxygen molecules O2 are split into free-state oxygen atoms O. Part of the O atoms generated recomposes with the oxygen molecules O2 to generate ozone O3. O + O2 = O3.

What is ozone?


Ozone is an oxidant that leaves no chemical residue and at the same time has a catalytic effect thanks to the free radicals found in the gas. Ozone is able to perform protein dissociation, denaturation, reduction of nucleic acid and enzyme activity, thus purifying and sanitizing the air.
