Designed by JL Audio senior engineer Bruce Macmillan, the LoC-22 is a two-channel active processor designed for applications that require attenuation of factory audio signals for use with aftermarket amplifiers and signal processors.

The LoC-22 uses a fully regulated switching MOSFET power supply and an entirely analog circuit to deliver flat frequency response, at any signal level (3 Hz - 32 kHz, +0, -1dB), without altering bass response at high levels, as many passive line output converters do.

Designed to combat cable-induced noise, the LoC-22 features a differential balanced input architecture that makes it compatible with virtually any analog audio signal. Capable of accepting up to 40 V RMS per channel (equivalent to 400 W at 4 ohm), the LoC-22 easily handles the outputs of the most powerful amplifiers. An integrated dual-range input load switch enables compatibility with most factory amplifiers that use impedance sensing to disable channels.

Ideal for full-range or low-frequency applications, the LoC-22 is equipped with a pair of line-level RCA analog outputs (up to 8 V RMS) to feed audio signals to your aftermarket system. The analog outputs are compatible with most aftermarket signal processors or amplifiers. Output level setting is extremely simple and easy, thanks to an integrated clipping indicator specifically calibrated to work with test tones or music. The LoC-22 offers two automatic turn-on methods (DC offset detection or signal detection) and provides a positive 12 V turn-on output to activate aftermarket amplifiers or other downstream electronic components.

A dedicated 12 V remote turn-on output (maximum 100 mA) to activate signal processors or aftermarket amplifiers.

The integrated LED clipping indicator makes output level setting easy and quick.
