PRECIOUS MATERIALS Structure and termination fairings entirely made of aluminum, finely worked and treated. The printed circuit is built with materials that meet military standards and professional standards, reinforced with gold-plated copper bars to manage the very high currents involved.

COMPONENTS High quality and precision, MOSFET selected one by one, solid terminals obtained from solid stock that accept large-diameter cables and passive components with very low tolerance.

ENERGY:
K competition, the name of these new electronics. represents the commitment made by STEG in creating amplifiers designed, in addition to sound, for competitions and for SPL. The available power, the high current and the impressive dynamics are among the characteristics guaranteed by a design that spared nothing. The massive use of very powerful semiconductors, the distribution of power over various transformers in parallel (in the photo, the K2.04 equipped with 4 transformers and 4 inductors) and the use of an extremely effective heat dissipation system, guarantee all the energy and reliability necessary to continuously drive every type of load, down to 1 ohm.
SERIALPOWER is an exclusive mode of series connection of outputs, reserved for stereo models, allows you to sum the power of two units as if they were a single amplifier.

FUNCTIONALITY:

The numerous functions present on the input panel constitute the SMMS (STEG MULTIWAY MODULAR SYSTEM).Dual LP and HP filters separated and independent - High-pass, Low-pass, Band-pass, Flat configurations - Selectable slope 12/24 dB - BY-PASS output - Filter Q 0.7/1.2 - Dual frequency adjustment technology with 4-step Switch or AQXM2 Modules. SMMS allows the realization of sophisticated multiway systems (3,4,5,6 ways and more, according to installation needs), avoiding the use of expensive and noisy external cross-overs that heavily degrade the sound. On the cover, an example of a complete Front/Rear/Sub multiamplified six-way system, built using exclusively the SMMS functions integrated in K amplifiers.

CONTROL AND COMMUNICATION: MICROPROCESSOR
K competition amplifiers incorporate an innovative management system for service operations and control of operation. Compared to common analog techniques, every function for monitoring the operational status is performed by a Microprocessor, also responsible for managing new and important functions related to Communication. By continuously analyzing the circuitry, the STEG digital system protects the amplifier from malfunctions, monitoring the status of power supply, ground connection, short circuits and the presence of direct current on outputs, as well as turn-on/turn-off bumps and the thermal status of power devices (regulating cold air flow). If necessary, it intervenes with muting (Muting) or, in extreme cases, with complete shutdown of the amplifier, protecting the electronics and connected devices. Every protection event is identified by the LEDs in the control panel and, above all, recorded in detail in the integrated memory, as happens with the "black box" of airplanes.

PERSONAL COMPUTER: to store data, offers K competition new possibilities of use. STEG has created a Hardware/Software kit that, through the STEGLINK connection, allows communication between the amplifiers and the Personal Computer.


MY STEG MANAGER is the program that interacts with the integrated microprocessor, accessing the information stored in its memory during operation. Thanks to a simple and intuitive graphical interface, MY STEG MANAGER displays the status of the amplifier in real time, reporting fundamental operating parameters such as: power supply and remote voltage, operating temperatures (right and left side of the heat sink), fan activity and, above all, detailed condition of the protections. The user, by analyzing the information, is able to quickly determine the cause of any anomalies.

In addition to the instantaneous condition of the amplifier, MY STEG MANAGER can display the history of protection events. From one of the menus, you access a section that collects the operational details and graphically summarizes the data relating to the last 14 protection interventions. The program, reading the data from the amplifier, faithfully reports temperatures, voltages and type of intervention, showing an analysis of the trend curves that is accurate and useful, both in the overall verification of the audio system and in the search for installation errors.

MY STEG MANAGER provides for the connection of an HUB accessory designed to manage high-level implementations and professional competition systems, thanks to which it is possible to connect up to 10 K competition amplifiers to the PC. Read yes, but also write. The software in fact also allows you to record your own details and those of the installer in a protected area of the memory. The entered data will be combined with the digital serial number (entered during production) generating a digital signature that makes each amplifier unique, non-counterfeit and always recognizable, regardless of tampering or theft.
